2022 Meeting Minutes June 2nd

Secretaries Report– Minutes were on the web site but not emailed last month.

Treasurers Report. Balance $1559.76

Library show. The show will run through July 15^th. Take down will be Saturday July 16^th from 10-5. If you can’t make it then items can be picked up on Monday (we will place them in the Boardroom along the wall) If you can’t be there Monday please arrange for someone else to pick up your work.

Art Walk. We will be hosting the show at the Presbyterian church. Set up will be Tuesday July 19^th from 6-8. We have decided we will not have judging categories, but will do a People’s choice. Art Walk generally is looking for newer work, but work that hasn’t been displayed during a previous Art Walk (even if it is older) is fine. The Art Walk is a good time to pull out your best work, and prints and a few framed pieces will usually sell. The Art Walk is Friday July 22^nd, and then we will have open hours on Sunday, Monday(1-4), Wednesday(1-4), and Friday(10-2) after the Art Walk as required by Destination Downtown. We need to look into changing the club business cards – the website and club meeting place is not correct. If you have plastic sleeves from the Health Center please remember to bring them back for Nancy.

There will be wall space, and display walls 5ftx18 (4), and we may also borrow some display walls from Parks and Rec. The church also has 6-8 easels. Let us know if you are not on the sign-up list and would like to display (see end of minutes to see who is on our list.) John and Nancy will check with the church about hangers. Take down of the show should be August 2nd at 6 pm. Nancy will verify with the church.

Fall Olivedale Show – September 10^th and 11^th. Set up will be September 8^th. Judging categories will be: People, Nature, Architecture, Historical, Black and White, Wings,

John has invited us for the Pine Lake Fireworks in July -July 3^rd 6 pm or so. BYOChair. And any food you want to eat or share. Directions will be emailed.
Hamburg Fireworks Demo Display was June 4^th.

2^nd Quarter Scavenger Categories: Nature, Extreme Close Ups, Leading Lines, Animals in Action, May Flowers, Blooms, and Open this Quarter. 4X6 prints will be due at our July meeting.
