Treasurer Report: Larry sent over the balance $1205.96, and has paid the Fairfield County Fair Booth Fee for this Fall of $250
Secretary report: Minutes have been being sent. We will look into shortening the distribution list to current members for some mailings. If you are not a paid member, but wish to remain on the mailing list please let Sue know.
Old Business –
Due are due. $25 for individual and $35 for family.
Olivedale Show. Misty Set up is March 17th from 3-7, Judging will take place from 4-6 on Friday (only committee members will be present)
Show runs Saturday the 19th from 10-5 and Sunday the 20th from 11-4. Awards will be right before takedown on Sunday.
On Friday Olivedale people do come through to see the show. Sign ups went around to have people there to answer questions. Bill Ray from 9-10, Sue Finch from 10-11, Nancy Lambert 11-2, Jo Binkley 2-3, and Misty from 3-4
Raffle items – please bring any donations to Thursday set up.
Scavenger Hunt downtown. We will reschedule for a warmer month. Rhonda and Sue went out and delivered flyers to downtown businesses and they were emailed to several places who said they would include them in their newsletters.
Library show hanging is set for May 17th from 5-7 and the show will bu up through July 16th. Theme is “Read beyond the Beaten Path.”
Art Walk-July 22 – Nancy and John Lambert secured the church for our Art Walk venue. Club will be paying both the entry fee of $30 and the Sponsor fee of ~$70. Sign ups for a committee to organize this show went around and the committee members are Kim and Rod Hartman, Bev Johnston, Jim Schwarz, Jo Binkley, Nancy and John Lambert, and Sue Finch. We plan to get together during the upcoming show to start planning. This should be a good opportunity to sell prints.
Quarterly Scavenger Hunt will be due as 4×6 prints at the April meeting: Categories are: Complementary Colors, Architecture, Mirrors, Golden Hour, Snow, Abstract and Open Anytime.
Leadership committee will get together to plan the next three months programs at our show. John Daniels volunteered to do Special effect photography. Some one else suggested a topic of “How to handle backups.” If you have anything you would like to teach or would like to learn please let us know.
